A young girl lives in the Outer Hebrides in a small village in the years just before WWI. She dreams of the wider world and a life away from the harsh land and strict religion of her island home. Feeling isolated, her life takes a dramatic change when a terrible tragedy befalls her.
Adapted from the novel by Scottish author and broadcaster John MacKay and filmed entirely on the Isle of Lewis.
