Filmed at the National Galleries of Scotland during the 2025 retrospective, ‘Andy Goldsworthy: 50 Years’, this film captures a dialogue between artist Andy Goldsworthy and art historian, author, and broadcaster Andrew Graham Dixon.
The documentary offers a look behind the scenes of Goldsworthy’s largest and most ambitious indoor exhibition. Surrounded by new installations created specifically for the show, the pair explore the core environmental philosophies, fleeting natural materials, and creative ideas that have defined the artist's extraordinary half-century career.
There will be a Q & A Session with Andrew Graham-Dixon after the film.
A love story like no other, The Cycle of Love is an inspiring, heart-warming, epic true-life adventure about self-belief, destiny and the courage to risk everything for love, traversing continents in a journey spanning Delhi to Sweden. Directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor: We made this film out of a sense of obligation to use our position as Israelis to examine the systems behind the mass killing of Palestinian civilians for which our country is responsible. While filming over the past three years, we found ourselves asking the very questions that were asked by our grandparents’ generation and throughout the 20th century:
how does one group of people allow the total dehumanisation of another? What do the inner workings of such a system look like? Many of the revelations in the film were published almost immediately as we learned of them, in the months following the October 7th attacks, by The Guardian (one of NAZA's producers), in collaboration with reporting partners +972 Magazine and Local Call. The film lets us explore something deeper than we could in our investigative journalism alone: not only the words being said but also those that are not said, the silence. It is up to all of us to break that silence.
There will be a post-film discussion afterwards.
In 1960, sixteen newly independent African countries enter the United Nations, a political earthquake that shifts the majority vote from the colonial powers to the global south. Congo becomes the arena in which the battle over the UN is fought. As Nikita Khrushchev pounds his shoe at the UN-top in reaction to the neo-colonial grab of the resources of newly independent Congo, UN delegates from African Countries are blackmailed. In an incredulous twist Patrice Lumumba’s assassination unites the Afro-Asian block, demanding the UN General Assembly to vote for immediate worldwide decolonization.
